Paula is a US Navy veteran, having spent 3 years on active duty and 10 years as a reservist. After her tour on active duty, she attended the Police Academy and earned her Texas Peace Officers license. She started her police career as the only female officer for the City of Waller. She went on to work for the cities of Stafford and Missouri City where she gained experience working nights. XXXXXXXX
In 2013, after the Sandy Hook incident, an opportunity to become a school police officer opened up where she worked at Alvin ISD as a school officer. XXXXXX Here she gained an interest in being a mentor for students and began collaborating with the Criminal Justice teachers and their program. XXXX
Paula’s passion for teaching brought her to the classroom where she could share her experiences in law enforcement with students at Lamar CISD, Terry High School. XXXXXX
